Reality
Yesterday, we had 4 teachers not show up. All in one building, so I taught one, and Elder McQ tried to run around to the other three. This morning, Tuesday, I taught one class that the students are disappointed at. They show up and they say, they are there more than their teacher. We reported it to the Stake President, and the Bishop is aware of the problem and will try to find some help. Even team teaching helps. We have been so impressed with the teachers, and to have 15 teachers to oversee, it's a compliment to them for those who are dedicated and diligent about their calling.

More LDS Emp. Res.
LDS Employment Resource
We have been asked to assist in this program. We have been trained, somewhat, and will "man" the office in Laie to help with this. We have already had one woman come and apply. We will be asked to cover the desk for a designated time period so it may be published that someone is there. The office is next door to our Seminary office, so it will be our pleasure to serve there.

"Proclaim the Gospel.....
.....and sometimes open your mouth" That was said by the last speaker we heard today. It was a wonderful talk, about bearing testimony. I was feeling poorly all day yesterday, I didn't even leave the apartment, nor did I change out of my nightgown until I took a shower last night. But I sprung out of bed this morning and we attended two wards in Laie, then came back to Hau'ula ward where I gave the RS lesson on Beware the Bitter fruits of Apostasy. I had Kea draw a large picture on butcher paper of a coconut tree, with coconuts on it. I drew a small size version for my notes, and Kea drew the one I used in Class. Oh, I love this Hau'ula Third ward. These saints are real. They are so warm. There will be a baptism at Kakela Beach tomorrow morning just across the street from here, and we will be there, as representatives, not to look for shells or to exercise, but to lend support for this family and this ward who have supported this young man.
While excommunicated Saints in California rail against the church, these new members take hold of this church. We proclaim the gospel to be true. We proclaim our Savior, Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, who loves us all.

Apostle Paul
He has always been my hero. I came to know him when I was living in Hilo, and doing some serious study of the Bible while active with Haili Church Jr. Sunday School.
The Seminaries are studying him in Romans right now. And in one Institute class, we are following the LIFE AND TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST. The manual there follows Paul's travels by each Journey starting with the 1st on through. While the NT has listed the books by length, from longest to shortest. I didn't know that before. In the Bible Dictionary it explains all that. Wow, new knowledge for me. Cool! Paul teaches us so much.

Spiritual
We hear the best talks and feel the Spirit through the members here. Today, Jay sat down in the first ward we visited, and he leaned over to me and said, about the lady in front of us..."I like her, she has great vibes" I knew what he was talking about. I feel that with almost everyone I see each and every Sunday and other days, even when we are out on the Basketball courts in the community. Such wonderful people who are so sincere. The home ward we are in, had ward conference today. All of the talks were spoken with such reality and you felt the Spirit so strong. This is what I grew up around, I've missed this. Good, honest people, who love the Lord and serve Him honestly. They tell it like it is. No flowery words, just straight shooters, sometimes in the pidgin English, but sincere.
